John Deere 4040 1978 model. SN 4040P003089R. Shows 8 hours on new tach. Original tach showed 6960 hours before replacement. Extremely rare special order factory open station powershift. Factory convertible narrow front only available in 1978 production year. Deere would not build this tractor without owners signing two separate liability and OSHA waivers due to no ROPS. Dual remote. 18.4R34 Firestone rears. 11L15 Firestone fronts. 3 period correct outer rear wheel weights per side. 10 period correct front weights. Rigid narrow front end. Period correct quick hitch, hammer strap, and tool box. Colberg Tractor Repair and Midwest Tractor and Plow professional restoration. Sold new to West Union, OH. Two Cylinder Verified November 30th 2015.
