The 116W was John Deere's first automatic wire-tie baler, using a mechanical wire knotter system and a side-discharge bale design. Restoration Details Repainted Pickup teeth intact and complete across the head Chain and sprocket drive system serviced and in place Knotter and twister assembly intact Flywheel and belt drive system functional Tandem wheel undercarriage with hitch tongue and support jack Historical Note The 116W was Deere's earliest automatic-tie baler design, predating their later twine-tie models. It uses a non-bevel-gear plunger drive, a design feature that made it mechanically efficient for its time. This model is of particular interest to collectors and vintage equipment enthusiasts.
