An analysis of the Tractor Zoom Pro database reports an average auction sale price of $250,927 based on 37 sale results for all John Deere S770’s going back to July 2019. However, when we filter down further to just those S770s sold in the last 90 days, we see the average auction sale price increase to just shy of $300,000 based on 7 comparable sales.
It’s important to note that the S770’s sold in the last 90 days at auction had considerably less hours than Tanner’s. The closest comp had 973 sep hours, as opposed to Tanner’s 1,168 sep hours, and sold for $246,000 at an auction in March.
Reviewing dealership list prices on May 23, 2022, we see the average list price of a John Deere S770 at a dealership is $365,645 based on 473 listings since September of 2021. However, a closer look at dealership list prices over time shows that the average list price for a John Deere S770 has increased a little over $2,500 over the last 30 days.
Trying to get a more accurate value for Tanner, we can look specifically at only 2019 models that are currently listed or have been sold since September 2021. Using that criteria, our average dealer list price falls to $321,299 (based on 85 comps) and if we filter further to only those 2019 lots that have a minimum of 1,700 hours, the average dealer price decreases to $252,557 (based on seven comps).
It’s important to note that the above is not a complete evaluation or valid estimate of Tanner’s S770. Additional information on Tanner’s piece of equipment such as drive type or whether it includes a chopper or spreader, among other variables will impact the estimated value.
