Description

The heart of the Ranger 900 is the rear-mounted ProStar 900 engine block. Moving the engine behind the cab drastically reduced interior cockpit noise and heat compared to older models. The On-Demand 3-Mode Drivetrain The Ranger HD utilizes a highly versatile mechanical drivetrain controlled via a 3-way dash rocker switch: VersaTrac Turf Mode (1WD): Unlocks the rear differential. This allows the rear wheels to turn at different speeds, maximizing steering agility and preventing tire scrub on manicured lawns or delicate turf. Standard 2WD: Spools power equally across both locked rear tires. This provides consistent rear traction for loose soil, gravel, and mud. On-Demand AWD (4WD): The system monitors rear-wheel slip.
