After their initial success, the Unverferths invented and began manufacturing dual wheels for farm tractors, an innovation which has influenced over 90% of North American farms and even into the global agricultural market. The company rapidly expanded by establishing a network of dealers and taking on commercial warehouse and production facilities.

Over the 1970s and 1980s, Unverferth’s product line grew to include running gear, gravity boxes, wagons, tillage implements, rolling harrows, high-clearance narrow wheels, and much more. Some of the most well-known equipment included the Harogator spike-tooth tillage tool, Culti-Planter field cultivator, and Rolling Harrow soil conditioner.

Unverferth Manufacturing has also strategically acquired several agricultural manufacturing companies to broaden their product offerings. That includes Brent Products, known for grain carts and tillage equipment; Killbros and Parker Industries planting equipment; Orthman tillage implements; Blu-Jet fertilizer equipment; and Top Air field sprayers.

Today, Unverferth upholds its tradition as a highly-regarded manufacturer and marketer of tillage equipment, pull-type sprayers, fertilizer applicators, hay and grain handling equipment, and agricultural dual and specialty wheels. True to the company’s humble beginnings in Ohio, Unverferth still seeks to create innovative products that help their farming “neighbors.”
