1979 JOHN DEERE 2840 1979 John Deere 2840. 2676 hours showing. 6 speed. 540/1000 PTO. 2 set hydraulic outlets. Tack needle missing. 6 cyl 5.4L diesel engine. Has loader mounts but NO loader goes with this tractor. NO 3 pt arms on the tractor. Front tires 10.00-16 @ 70%. Rear tires 18.4-34 @ 25-30%. Serial number on side of motor is 379464CD, serial number plate supposed to be on right side under radiator side cover, however, there is a loader channel iron covering it up. Believe this is a 1979 model, this model 2840 was made in Germany 1977-1979. Starts and runs good.
