1950 John Deere R

Description

1950 John Deere R Standard Serial number: 4567 Tractor runs and drives. Pony engine runs fine and starts main engine with no issue. Main engine runs strong and seems healthy however will show some slight fuel smoke while running at low idle as the tractor hasn't been run very much and sat for many years. Radiator had a rodents nest in the top tank. The nest rotted the top of the radiator core so the core will need to be replaced. Generator was replaced not too long ago and charges as it should. Starter on the pony engine was also replaced not long ago. All lights work except the front right light. Rear tires are old and appear to be the originals and do have some dry cracking. Rear rims are in great shape. 2 sets of wheel weights on the inside of each wheel. Steering is good. Clutch works good. Brakes work good. Pto spins while tractor is running. There is a dent on the back of each fender. There is also a dent on the top of the front nose. Grill screen was replaced at some point. Cylinder head and water pump also appear to have been replaced at some point. Early style model R with the throttle control for the pony engine as well as the pull start cord for the pony engine.
