1974 J.I. Case 1070

1974 J I CASE 1070 On consignment from a local farmer is this little 1070 with an open ROPS. Tractors, starts, runs, shifts, brakes, clutches and steers as it should. Three-point and PTO seem to work as they should, good rubber on the back. The front left tire is good, front right has some wear on the outside rib. Owner has upgraded to a newer tractor with a full cab and is selling this one. Tractor has both the 540 and 1000 PTO shaft (reversible). We believe the hours showing are representative of when the previous owner had the engine overhauled - we think those are the hours on the overhaul. Also, transmission was rebuilt one year prior to the engine overhaul. Please note that the oil pressure gauge is not connected so it does not give an accurate reading. Please note - owner does state that there is a noise that comes out of the rear end when the tractor downshifts. Unsure of what this might be - the machine does not make this sound shifting up or when it is under load but we do want to disclose this to potential buyers. Mower in the pictures is not included with the tractor and was attached simply to show three-point and PTO function.
