We are looking for a Data Scientist that will help us discover the information hidden in vast amounts of data, and help us make smarter decisions to deliver even better products. Your primary focus will be in applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems integrated with our products. You will leverage our data to help build the best in class UX and shopping experience for farmers as well as increase annual contract value on our SaaS product by using our data to automate processes for customers. As the first Data Scientist at Tractor Zoom, you will play a critical role in helping our product and engineering team solve real problems for our customers. This role is truly one of a kind for a Data Scientist wanting to make an immediate impact.
Work as the lead Data Scientist, identifying and integrating new datasets that can be leveraged through our product capabilities and work seamlessly with the engineering team to strategize and execute the development of data products.
Analyze data for trends and patterns, and interpret data with a clear objective in mind.
Enhance current data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems.
Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.
Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner.
Creating an automated anomaly detection system and tracking of its performance.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in statistics, applied mathematics, computer science or related discipline.
4+ years of data science experience.
Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN. Un/Supervised Learning, Image and Text Processing.
Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Weka, NumPy, MatLab, etc.
Great communication skills.
Experience with data visualization tools, such as D3.js, GGplot, Tableau.
Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL.
